Dear Patients,

TOWER ORTHOPEDIC IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR APPOINTMENTS IN THE OFFICE! THOSE COMING TO THE OFFICE WILL NEED TO WEAR A FACE MASK - For your protection and ours. Telehealth visits are available on a limited basis - depending on extension of the public health emergency waivers.

In order to protect you as a patient and to protect our staff, we require that face masks be worn any time you present to the office. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding. Per Municipal order EO-13, face masks/coverings are required indoors through 07/31/2020. After that time, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone not willing to comply with this request without a valid medical reason.

Hospitals in Anchorage have resumed elective and non-urgent surgical procedures. Each hospital scheduling your surgery requires a COVID test be completed at least 48 hours prior to surgery. If you are an out-of-town patient that may mean a preop appointment will be a little sooner than the day before surgery if your primary care provider is not able to order the test for you within the time frame required by the hospitals.

For the safety of our patients and our staff, if you are experiencing a cold or flu-like symptoms, please call our office to reschedule your appointment.  If you have a postoperative appointment and have any symptoms, please call our office before coming to your appointment.

In addition, according to the Alaska Department of Health guidelines, we ask patients who have recently traveled to wait 14 days after their return to schedule or attend any appointments.

If you are symptom-free and plan to attend your appointment, we are asking your assistance in stopping the spread of viruses by limiting those attending an appointment with you to one healthy adult guest only. Minors under the age of 18 should only come to the office if they are the patient.  The CDC is recommending social distancing, so we are minimizing the number of people in our facility.  We are also taking temperatures of our patients and their guests at our discretion.

While the best way to prevent illness is to avoid exposure, the CDC recommends the following measures:

  • Avoid close contact (within 6 feet) with people who are sick.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.

  • Stay home if you are sick.

  • Cover your cough with a tissue or sneeze into a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. If a tissue is not available, sneeze or cough into your elbow. Then wash your hands.

  • Read more about the CDC's virus prevention recommendations at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prepare/prevention.html.

Thank you for helping contain the spread of viruses in our community.
